Our Team
Cameron Ownbey – Owner, Marketing and Social Media Manager
Cameron is a NW Native that did his stint in the Boy Scouts in the Seattle Area. Cameron has been an outdoor enthusiast from a young age. While having moved and lived in a multitude of places he decided to get back to his roots and settle in as close to the outdoors as possible. Cameron manages Social Media and Marketing for SBM.
Isaac Tait – Gear Manager
Isaac Tait manages all the gear for review on SBM and also writes a fair amount, too. He has been a rock climber and backpacker for over two decades and a skier for three years. He also spent nearly ten years in the Marine Corps Infantry with two tours overseas. He is a member of the American Alpine Club (AAC), Mountain Rescue Association (MRA), American Mountain Guide Association (AMGA), and is nationally certified as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). In the course of his adventures he has discovered a love for outdoor leadership and education and is pursuing his certification as a mountain guide. In his spare time he can be found exploring the wild-lands surrounding his new home in the greater Washington DC area.
Along with our editorial and management staff, Seattle Backpackers maintains a core team of contributors. Click on an author’s name within an article to see a full list of his/her work.
