Ever wonder how the pros get those stunning winter photographs while you sit and struggle with over exposed and harsh hopefuls? Here’s some quick tips I use during my winter travels and they will work with any dslr or film camera.
Just West of Idaho Springs, CO is Berthoud Pass. A high mountain road that leads to Winter Park and eventually Rocky Mountain National Park. Today the area is popular among hikers, campers and backcountry skiers. However, decades ago the area was the epicenter for the once fringe sport of skiing and home to a small ski resort and what many consider to be Colorado’s first ski area.
Acadia National Park in Maine isn’t known for its climbing, but rather for its stunning views of traditional New England coast. It offers an atmosphere that separates itself from other national parks, yet tucked in the iconic inlets and coves, are rock features that will fancy any climber’s skill level.
