Originally from Southern California, Antrese Wood now lives in Argentina. A trained fine artist, she is about to embark on a ‘painting expedition’ across Argentina where she’ll paint the landscapes and people as she runs across them in each of the 23 provinces of the country.

These photos are from Catamarca, a province in northwest Argentina.

Antrese Wood is a Southern California artist and avid outdoor enthusiast. She fell in love with South America after a semester in Patagonia with NOLS, the National Outdoor Leadership School. Later, in a random turn of events, she met and fell in love with an Argentine rock climber. Yes, these things do happen! Now living in Argentina, Antrese recently began a painting expedition entitled "A Portrait of Argentina." an 8 month 15,600 mile journey in which she will travel through all 23 provinces painting portraits and landscapes along the way.
