We all know that Seattle is one of the best places to hike and camp. From the shores of
Rattlesnake Lake and Little Si and Mount Si, both of which are on the Snoqualmie Pass to
Ebey’s Landing (which is one is our favorite Washington coastal hikes), there are so many
incredible hikes to choose from. But before you head out to your hike, make sure that you have
all the equipment and clothing packed. Better yet, why not check out KAVU, one of Seattle’s
best outdoor clothing stores where you can pick up shorts and flannel shirts? And just a few
doors down from KAVU is an amazing shop that sells the most incredible ice cream. From
pistachio to salted caramel, there are so many delicious flavors to choose from.
If you also like to rock a vintage vibe when hiking, why not check out some of Seattle’s amazing
vintage stores for some 90’s plaid shirts? Not only can you find Goodwill, but also cool vintage
stores like Lifelong Thrift.
After a hearty hike, we are sure you will want to get something to eat and get a big cup of coffee.
Did you know that there are over 843 coffee houses in Seattle? So, why not check out
Craftworks Coffee on Lower Queen Anne, which is considered “Seattle’s ultimate coffee bar”
thanks to their intriguing concept of an educational coffee-drinking experience.
We are sure that you have worked up one heck of an appetite, but finding a place for lunch is
easy when you have so much to choose from. If you love seafood, then you must check out The
Walrus and the Carpenter where you can enjoy dishes like smoked trout with lentils, walnuts,
pickled onions and creme fraiche. Green Leaf, on the other hand, serves the best Vietnamese
food around. Try the crunchy, sweet-hot, green papaya salad or a bowl of vermicelli with grilled
pork.
If you are looking for culture, you will not be disappointed with the wide range of museums and
art galleries, which includes the Museum of Pop Culture, the Seattle Art Museum and the Seattle
Asian Art Museum.
By the evening, you’ll certainly want to check out the many amazing restaurants, bars and clubs
in Seattle. You could even check out some live music at places like The Showbox and the
Columbia City Theater. The Electric Tea Garden (ETG) is also worth a visit. More than just a
club venue, it feels more like an after-hours house party.
While you’re out, why not try out one of the city’s casinos like the Tulalip Resort Casino. But be
sure to bring smart clothes as hiking gear may not work here. You don’t have to go all out, just
make sure that you adhere to the dress code of the casino.
Seattle is one of the coolest places to visit for hiking, camping, and general outdoor pursuits.
If you are in for a longer and plusher stay consider RV Rental Seattle.
However, it is also worth considering Seattle for the amazing coffee, wide array of restaurants
