Kelsie Donleycott is an avid photographer and native of the Pacific Northwest who is often found on the trails of the Olympic Peninsula. With this set of photos, she offers us a glimpse at the wildlife she has encountered along her adventures. SBM has also also featured her ocean and winter sunset photographs.
The ocean offers a sort of silence among its crashing waves. The sunsets on our coast are some of the most appreciated of all (perhaps because of their rarity). This set of photos is a reminder to break from the uphill tromping every once in a while and find a desolate stretch of beach to explore the ways that hiking and backpacking can be different here.
