The Patagonia Nano Air Hoody is a truly amazing jacket. It absolutely blew my mind with how well it performed in a variety of environments.[Read More…]
You’re in luck. Patagonia and Gore-Tex have teamed up with this amazing weather beater Whether you are a backcountry skier, or deluge lover, or alpine climber, this jacket will take what Mother Nature throws at it. I tested the Patagonia Super Alpine Jacket. Here’s what I found.
Finally we rounded the northeast corner of Lago Viedma and turned west to our first views of the Andes, still flirting with a low cloud cover. Glaciar Viedma (one of the largest glaciers draining the Heilo Sur or South Patagonian Ice Sheet) was a small tongue of blue-white at the other end of the grey-blue lake.
Every time I put this jacket on or stuff it into my pack, I feel like the ultimate alpinist: Light, minimal, and hardcore! Even when I was sick for a week and could not venture outside, let alone into the mountains out my “backdoor,” I still wore this jacket while laying in bed thinking about all the adventures I had while wearing it outside.
