Aku’s hiking boots are designed for on- and off- trail day hiking, so I took the Transalpina GTX W’s for a series of hikes in the local hills.
I tested the Wolverine Terrain II ICS™ Low-Trail Hiker on hikes, runs and general walks. The shoe is built on an EVA midsole with an “Armortek” frame and mesh upper, with an OrthoLite® insert for the footbed.
For this review, I paired the NEMO Harmony bag with a 1.75″ thick sleeping pad and a 2-person tent in temperatures far below its suggested temperature rating.
