West Coast Outdoor Weather- 10-1-2015.  The weekend will bring some showers early on Saturday for the Washington Cascades than a drying trend late on Saturday and into Sunday. Thus, Sunday should be a fine day to enjoy the fall foliage on many of your trails with plenty of sun.

However for the North Sierra in California, Mt. Shasta and north, a trough of low pressure will be over the region (see map below) for the chance of some showers, however most models suggest that it will be light showers.

How about Monday (10-5-2015) and the rest of the week? For Monday through Wednesday (10-7-2015) forecast models have a ridge of high pressure over much of the West Coast so mostly sunny for the mountains will be the rule. Perhaps take a day off for a hike.
